The Research Center in Economics and Finance of the Icesi University conducted a study that shows that the Colombian National Team is a favorite to win the Copa América 2019.
The authors of this project are Julio César Alonso Cifuentes, director of Cienfi, and students of the Master’s Degree in Economics Diego Antonio Bohórquez Ordoñez and Cristian Camilo Urbano Florián.
According to the results of the 10,000 simulations of the tournament, the Colombia Selection is the favorite to the title, with a probability of 28.6%. The second favorite to the title is the local team, Brazil, with a probability of 23.3%, followed by Argentina (21.7%).

The Colombian National Team will debut in the Cup next Saturday at 5:00 in the afternoon in Salvador de Bahía. This will be the starting point to know if the team of Carlos Queiroz can meet the great prognosis of the Icesi.
